British IPTV TV on a Firestick

The Firestick is the most popular way to watch, and it needs one step the others do not: telling Amazon it is fine to install an app from outside its store. That part takes about a minute.

Setup is free. Message us and we do these steps with you.

1

Get the Downloader app

  1. 1.On the Fire TV home screen, go to Find and then Search.
  2. 2.Type Downloader and choose it from the list.
  3. 3.Pick the orange Downloader icon and press Get or Download.
2

Allow apps from outside the store

The menu lives in one of two places, depending on how new the stick is.

  1. 1.Newer sticks: Settings, My Fire TV, About. Highlight Fire TV Stick and press the select button seven times. Go back one screen, open Developer Options and switch on Install unknown apps for Downloader.
  2. 2.Older sticks: Settings, My Fire TV, Developer Options, then turn on Apps from Unknown Sources.
Worth knowing. No Developer Options anywhere? The seven presses on the About screen are what make it appear. Amazon tucked it away in a software update.

Install a player and sign in

Open Downloader, type the app address we send you, and install it. Any of these three is a good choice:

  • TiviMate

    Paid

The clearest TV guide, with recording. Up to five devices on one licence.

  • IBO Player Pro

    Paid

Free for a week, then one payment. Included for a year on the 12-month plan.

  • IPTV Smarters

    Free

Costs nothing and does the job.

Open the player, choose the Xtream Codes login, and enter the username, password and server address from your WhatsApp message. The channels and the guide load on their own.

If the sideloading step puts you off, Android boxes and Chromecast install the same players straight from the Play Store, and a Samsung or LG TV needs no extra hardware at all. Whichever you pick, see the full channel list first.
