British IPTV TV on a MAG box

A MAG box works differently from an app-based device. There is no username and password. The box is registered by its own MAC address, so that is what we need from you before anything loads.

Send us the MAC address

It is on the sticker underneath the box and under System Settings on screen, in the shape 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Nothing works until it is registered, so send it first.

Open the portal settings

  1. 1.When the box starts, open Settings and press the SETUP or SET button on the remote.
  2. 2.Go to System Settings, then Servers, then Portals.

Enter the portal address

  1. 1.In Portal 1 Name, type any name.
  2. 2.In Portal 1 URL, enter the portal address from your order.
  3. 3.Press OK to save.

Set the time server and restart

  1. 1.Still in System Settings, open the time or NTP section.
  2. 2.Enter uk.pool.ntp.org, or pool.ntp.org if you are outside the UK.
  3. 3.Leave the settings twice, then choose Restart Portal.
Worth knowing. A blank guide on a MAG box is nearly always a missing time server. The box needs the right time to line programmes up with channels.

MAG boxes are activated by MAC, which is why that address matters so much. Formuler boxes do the same through MYTV Online, and BuzzTV boxes use a near-identical portal screen. Read the full channel list before buying any box.
